Rehabilitation and re-assembly of the organ

An exceptional organ preserved in its original condition
Considered as an exceptional instrument by most of the greatest specialists, it has been installed in the castle library since 1930 and remains today in its original condition. Listed as monument historique (historical monument) in 1933, it is part of the twenty of this type remaining in the world, only three of which can still be used.

A particular organ construction on three levels
Situated in the library, the console is the only visible part of the organ. It is made of 3 single manuals comprising 61 notes plus a 32-notes pedal-board each. The instrument part is situated on the first floor, above the console. Turbines and dynamo are to be found on the second floor. It can be used manually and automatically thanks to the 187 punched scores in the board.
